Artist Introduction 1 : Youngkak Cho
Youngkak Cho (37) is an artist with a strong tendency towards being an early adopter. He has been enthusiastically engaged in various fields that have recently gained popularity, such as artificial intelligence, coding, and fusion, for over a decade. "Generative art," which became a hot topic earlier this year due to the ChatGPT craze, is also an old repertoire of Cho's. This stems from his artistic perspective.
According to Cho, "It is the artist's mission to express our current stories through art" and "It is most ideal to convey contemporary stories in a contemporary way." During his undergraduate years in the Western painting department, he explored the world of digital and media art, even delving into the sound of "Freak" which is his inspiration.
